Emails blocked in Mexico?

I'm having problem sending emails from my laptop in Mexico. A friend told me that Telmex blocks some ports. Is that true?

  It looks like some Mexican internet providers (including Telmex) are blocking port 25 for emails. Try changing the port through which you send mails.
