Angela Verbrugge Quartet Band description Canadian jazz vocalist Angela Verbrugge (2020 JazzTimes Readers' Poll for "Best Female Vocalist") gives every note a passionate and emotional expression. The charismatic singer, composer and lyricist spent the last year on tour in Canada, Europe, Turkey and Japan.

Verbrugge is joined by some of Germany's best jazz musicians: Clemens Orth on piano, Caris Hermes on bass and Xaver Hellmeier on drums.

The band brings the authentic swing feel, paired with finely crafted arrangements, giving classic vocal and instrumental jazz standards, as well as their own compositions, a fresh, timeless sound.

Angela Verbrugge has been touring the world singing about love gone right (or very wrong!). Her lyrics range from humorous tales of romance while trying to eat buttery corn at a summer picnic, to the mad dash panicked adventure of being late, to sweet reflections newfound infatuation, to sour reflections on feeling wholly unloveable.
